Foxy Roxie

With her incredible jewelry and out of this world up dos, Carole Davis as Roxie Shield in 1987's Mannequin surely deserves to be beauty icon of the month. Now, the movie is silly and exists in the time of questionable plot lines (mannequin comes to life to save an artist's career??) but as opposed to the star Kim Cattrall's blond California looks, Roxie is dark, mysterious, a little evil and has the best collection of earring I've ever seen. She uses her sexuality to make even the largest of power suits work in her favor, and is truly an inspiration for the put together business woman look that will hopefully be brought back with a vengeance.

Man Loup

Robert Redford, 1975

Would like to think that if Loup was a man, it would be Robert Redford in 1975.

Hot Towel

These 2010 Wimbledon towels are out of this world awesome and definitely live up to their collectors item status. Get them at the Wimbledon store now and you can be the coolest at the beach all summer.

Intergalactic Fashion

I have very deep love for Star Wars. This needs no explanation, so I'm just going to put it out there. Needless to say, when my friend Sarah Johnston sent me this post on Behance of Star Wars characters in the coolest of current designer men's clothing, I got a little bummed I didn't think of it first! But it did motivate me to put Princess Leia in an Loup ensemble that I think she would be really into...

"Thank Heaven for Little Girls"

My Father the Hero was not only a big influence on my life and ideals as a young teenager, but had a huge influence of my ideals of resort style. I still try to achieve Katherine Heigl's easy French influenced vacation looks when I pack for a trip, and of course it always comes into pay when designing "travel easy chic" items for Loup. I suggest watching to get you even more in the mood for upcoming summer plans.

Prep Mania

I love everything preppy, mainly cause I personally could never achieve the look that well. Luckily, I've been informed of the reissue of Take Ivy by Kensuke Ishizu, Toshiyuki Kurosu and Moto Hasegawa, the bible of all things clean cut and matching, documenting Ivy Leaguers in their natural habitat. I hope to get my hands on this new version, as the original can run in the thousands.
